I thought my plan was a bit crazy...but it all worked out.  After playing Sunday in Leawood, KS, I drove 4 hours to St. Louis, MO to take an early morning flight to Elmira, NY (flew free on miles). I landed at 11:30 a.m. for a 2:40pm tee-time.  Jody was waiting at the airport with his yardage book in hand.  We had lunch, I took a nap to ensure energy for my late afternoon round, and then changed into golf attire at a local hotel.  After arriving at Corning C.C. with 50 minutes of practice time, I realized I left my wallet in the lobby bathroom of the hotel.  Yikes!!!  Jody was livid!!!! OOPs.  We high-tailed it back to the hotel to happily find my wallet.  By the time we returned to the golf course, I had 15 minutes of warm up time - enough for 8 swings, 3 putts, and a run to the first tee.

Turns out warming up is over rated.  We shot 68 to qualify for the LPGA Cornign Classic.  Yeah!!!!

The highlight of the weekend in San Antonio was my history lesson of the Alamo.  The falling of the Alamo was really the beginning of Texas' independence from Mexico.  The men that fought and gave their lives were not soldiers but regular people who wanted Texas independence.  These men left their jobs and families from all over the world to fight at the Alamo.  The death of these men, the falling of the Alamo, are what in inspired the Texas army to finally defeat the Mexican armies.  "Remember the Alamo"

This is the front of the mission which was actually inside the walls of the Alamo.  It is one of two original buildings still remaining.

Missed the cut this week by two shots.  Made an eagle on the final hole...very inspiring and a good memory to take into next week in Kansas City.  Ill be working mostly on my putting during my few days off in Dallas, TX.  Stay tuned for some excellent golf to come.
