Sunday was a terrific day for women's golf. Televised on CBS was the Nabisco Dinah Shore and finally there were 3 americans in the top three. Brittney Lincicome, Kristey Mcpherson, and Kristie Kerr. They battled it out until the final hole for one of the most exciting finishes in the history of golf. Hopefully this will bring more attention and sponsors to women's golf.
Also on this great day, I shot 69 to finish tied for 3rd in the Duramed Futures Tour event in Daytona Beach, FL. This was my best finish in a few years. It was really very exciting and Im soo happy that Jody, my boyfriend, was able to caddy for me. He is usually watching on real time scoring and screaming at the computer "what is she doing out there!!!!!!!". It is soo much easier to play this crazy game when you have someone you are confident in to give you the yardage, keep track of the wind, and not let me do anything stupid. On the last hole Jody backed me off my shot to wait for the wind (it was swirling). 137 yards - I had 9 iron in my hand...I needed that bit of wind at the right time to get it to the hole...perfect 10 feet.
So, Im on my way...working with Doc Suttie is proving to be the right path. In fact, Ive moved up 128 spots in the world rankings.
