I was very excited to be playing in Brownsville,TX because Ive never been there. One of the benefits of playing professional golf is seeing the world. Well, Brownsville is not exactly like Chicago...its out in the middle of no where and real close to Mexico. I love Mexico and even Mexico City is very stimulating. But when I go to a gym in the U.S. I was anticipating English speaking people. The Yoga class I did was completely spoken in Spanish. I had no clue what pose we were doing. The golf course in Brownsville was very nice and tricky. I spent too much time figuring out where to place my ball and not enough time putting and chipping. Tee to green fit my game real well except for the grass. I could not figure out this grass. Big blades on the greens and funny grass around the green. Since the greens were real small, I was doing a lot of chipping and even more putting since I had NO feel at all.
San Antonio is this week. Oh it is soooo nice here. Beautiful, smooth, fast greens, plush fairways, tree-lined holes, great practice facility. They are treating us like Queens here. It feels like the LPGA tour. Best part of this week...Jody is caddying for me. Oh that makes everything so much easier. He can figure out the golf course and I can use my energy solely for playing golf. Love it.
