Tres Marias Golf Club is not a course to hit the ball crooked and recover. There are canyons and hills everywhere so you have to strike the ball well to get from point A to point B. OH yes and thin shots wont carry these canyons either. I used to say "thin to win"...not this week. 85-81 oops...I did tie Solheim Cup player Angela Stanford who is ranked 10th in the world, after the first round. Needless to say, Ill be practicing hard for the next event.

While I was in Mexico, I decided to see a Bull Fight. I contemplated going for a few days because I was not sure I wanted to see a bull get killed. Since it is part of the culture in Mexico (I love experiencing different culture) and one of the best matadors in the world was performing, I decided I had to see what this Bull Fighting all about.
WOW!!!! After the first few minutes of taunting and wounding the bull, I was unsure I would be able to stay. It was so cruel and difficult to watch. I toughed it out, eventually became more immune to the gore & cruelty of it all. I saw all 6 bulls get killed by 3 different Matadores. Honestly, to me, the bull has no chance of winning. They taunt him and wound him so much that he can hardly move by the time they kill him. I will say that when the matadore performed really well, it was awesome and I found myself cheering. The "risky" moves he made were more of an art form and it entertained the crowd like you would not believe. "OLE, OLE, OLE" Everyone was going crazy. This Matadore performed so well, that he was awarded both ears and the tail of the bull he destroyed. It is very unusual to get both ears and the tail. I will definitely never go to a bull fight again, so Im glad that the one I did experience was "excellent" (i guess).
